Oh, that is so uniquely beautiful! I have never seen anything like it. I would love to know what it is and if I could grow it where I live.
Beautiful picture!
If you'd like to stop by my blog I'm at Cake Crumbs.

Looks like it's hanging from a tree...very pretty.

How very pretty I bet it's tantalizing to humming birds butterflies and bees.

Oh, so pretty. I've seen those in tropical climates, but I have no idea what they are. Great photo, Q!

That is lovely :-) Wow :-)

I saw one of these when I was at the botanical gardens in St. Louis last year. I wish I had jotted down the name! It's so pretty.

Thanks everyone - isn't it just beautiful? These were all over the grounds of the hotel where we stayed in Ixtapa.

Thanks to Les for posting her picture of the same flower on Facebook to try to track down the name.

Extra Special thanks to Bookfool for identifying the flower - it's called a Japanese Lantern.

It really is beautiful. A Japanese Lantern . . . I wonder if they'd grow well in my climate.

Literary Feline: they really are so pretty and delicate looking. Not sure what kind of climate they need. I'm terrible with plants of any kind.
