In the middle of March I hit a milestone when it comes to Photo-a-Day. I completed two full years of posting daily photos based on prompts from communities on Instagram.
Yesterday I posted my 746th daily photo. You can see the full two years on my Shuttercal Calendar.
I did the first year and a half or so of this by sticking with one daily photo challenge community. Earlier this year I decided to switch things up a bit. I’m going to choose a list of challenge prompts every month from the many that are out there and available.
For April I’m going to do the TakenToday Challenge list for April 2014

This is hosted by a great group of founders and moderators at the TakenToday Instagram account.
As I do every month I’m also taking a look back at the challenge I did last month. For March I participated in the Sunny Pic Challenge hosted by Sunny Matilda. It was a lot of fun and some of the prompts were easy and others were challenging. That’s one of the things I like most about the daily photo challenges.
Here are some of my favorites and the favorites of my Instagram followers from March
March 10th - lockscreen
March 11th - water drops
March 12th - door
March 15th - two things
March 21st - delicious
March 23rd - words
I hope you'll consider joining me for the Taken Today Challenge for March.
